Externally prestressed composite box girder with corrugated steel webs is a new type of steel-concrete composite structure, which has been widely used in Japan and France. This structure has the advantages of light weight, definite stress, large span, short construction period, and beautiful shape compared with the traditional PC box girder. And it doesn’t need longitudinal ribs to prevent buckling of webs and improves the loading efficiency of prestressing when compared with the flat steel web girder, bending, shear are analyzed. Finally, relying on the Li River bridge,the design method on PC composite box girder bridge with corrugated steel webs has been studied.(1).The stress change law for external prestressing on box girder with corrugated steel webs is analyzed and different algorithms force increment and the ultimate stress of the prestressed reinforcement is presented. PC composite box girder with corrugated steel webs ultimate bearing capacity calculation has been derived according to the bending theory of reinforced concrete beam. And the formula to calculate the effective width of simply supported corrugated steel web PC box girder is also given. The SectionDayton-MuLeightoneffect is calculated, analyzed and compared with the space finite element calculation results.(2). Shear stress in the web of PC box girder is composed of bending shear stress, free torsional shear stress and restrained torsion shear stress. Several local and global interactive buckling strength design formulas are analyzed. Further more, the influence of shear deformations design formulas, which plays a very important role on deflection of PC box girder with corrugated steel webs, is also proposed.(3). Finally, relying on the Li River Bridge, the serviceability limit state and limit state of bearing capacity of the PC composite box girder bridge with corrugated steel are analysed, as well as eigenvalue buckling analysis; according to the above design method of composite box girder bridge with corrugated steel webs, the design stiffness, flexural capacity, shear capacity,stability and its connecting part of the composite box girder have been checked.
