On the basis of using the network quality standard railway company, realization method of network performance index is given in network management.Followed by analysis of the GSM-R network performance index and calculation method. The important performance metrics: success rate and location update MSC(Mobile Switching Center) into the success rate, MSC cut out the success rate, SGSN(Serving GPRS Support Node) PDP(Packet Data Protocol) side activation success rate and the corresponding counter relationship are discussed. From the historical performance statistics value, signaling tracing start, combining aspects of a comprehensive analysis of users, data, and user interface to monitor, track results and other interface signaling, to identify which is the key factors affecting the performance of the index value or the index failed to identify specific reasons. Then it analyzes the effects of various failures on the network indicators index, combined with the practical application of the current situation of Lanzhou Railway Bureau GSM-R network.
