With the continues of countries western region great development strategy, the highway and railway engineering, municipal engineering and others infrastructure construction has been developing rapidly, a series of slope stability it bring about has has become an important factor in the success or failure of engineering. In practical engineering, slope instability are mostly demonstrated three-dimensional damage state. For the three-dimensional stability analysis, more real and conform analysis results can be gotten, and the unnecessary loss and waste can be reduced. To process instability slope, taking corresponding retaining structure to reinforce are commonly measures. Retaining wall with it’s simple structure, convenient construction, low cost, easy to use local materials and many other advantages has been widely used in practical engineering. A three-dimensional stability analysis method is put forward for the homogeneous slope with arbitrary sliding surface based on the principle of minimum potential energy, and based on this method established a three-dimensional slope stability analysis method with retaining wall reinforced. In this paper, the main research content includes the following aspects:(1)Firstly,taking the sliding body as a whole, established three-dimensional computational model. Then, getting the whole potential energy of sliding body, obtained the displacement of sliding body based on the principle of minimum potential energy. Finally, by selecting the reasonable calculation mode of safety factor, established the three-dimensional stability analysis method for the homogeneous slope with arbitrary sliding surface.(2)For slope with retaining wall reinforced, considering the potential energy between retaining wall and soil contact surface when construct three-dimensional calculation model,and presented a three-dimensional slope stability analysis method with retaining wall reinforced based on the principle of minimum potential energy.(3)For the sake of the convenient calculation and analysis, combining calculation module and interface module by using the MATLAB software based on established analysis method, developed the three-dimensional stability analysis program of slope and slope with retaining wall reinforced.(4)The proposed method was applied to slope engineering projects, such as retaining wall reinforced the cutting of highway and retaining wall reinforced foundation pit engineering, to verify the practicability of the presented method in this paper.
