| Magnetorheological damper is a novel controllable device which is based on rheological properties of magnetorheological fluid. It is widely applied as one efficient device for isolating vibration and resisting seismic in civil engineer,structural control and vehicle engineer.This paper concerning new damper includes the following four parts:With regard to shortcomings of common magnetrheological damper, one new structure of magnetrheological damper is proposed. It mainly includes inner damper cylinder, outer cylinder and coil assembly which is secured to the outside of the outer cylinder in order that it cannot be in touch with magnetorheological fluid. This new structure is easily assembled and disassembled,easily maintained and easy to dissipate heat. It can improve the effective stroke magnetorheological damper piston at the same time.Finite element model of new MRD electromagnetic field is established with ANSYS software. The value of the electromagnetic theory analysis is compared with finite element analysis value. Analysis shows that the special structure of outer cylinder and coil assembly ensures that he effective magnetic field can generate in magnetorheological fluid flow channel.Because Bingham model is easily to analyze and can well describe characteristic of magnet- rhological damper, MRD based on Bingham is chosen to research. The analysis of axisymmetric model and plate model is conducted. According to analysis of plate model of MRD, pressure gradient equation is obtained, thus solving damper force of MRD. The influence of MRF performance parameters and magnetorheological damper structure on damper damping force and the adjustment range is analyzed.To increase damper force of common MRD, we can increase outline dimension,increase damping force when magnetic field equal to zero,or increase axial size of piston. To increase number of piston in the same size can deduce its effective stroke.To overcome above shortcomings, one new kind of MRD which can export bigger damper force is proposed. This new kind of MRD when exporting same damping force compared with common MRD has smaller size and more effective stroke.This study concerning application of MRD provides reliable theoretical support and technical assurance which contributes to research of vibration control. |
