Geogrid reiforced earth retaining wall had incomparable advantages over other retaining walls. With the rapid development of geosynthetics(geogrid especial), It had becoming hotspot since the birth of theory of its early stage of development and itssuccessfully application in engineering,but for the application of reinforced earth retaining wall in the high-speed railway is still limited. This article first reviews the research status of the retaining wall, then has carried on the research and analysis the deformation behavior of the geogrid reinforced earth retaining wall. However, the theory of the geogrid reinforced soil retaining wall are very unreliable.Based on the above considerations, the paper was based on the geogrid reinforced soil retaining wall of Qingdao-Rongcheng intercity high-speed railway. This study is conducted through the theoretical analysis, computer simulation, field test a combination of researchmethods to analyze. The main contents and conclusions in this paper are:(1) The basic theory rated to high speed railway reinforced earth retaining wall structure behavior, including the basic principle of reinforcement, the basic type and failure mode of reinforcement, retaining wall in high speed railwaywas studied; the design methods of reinforced earth retaining wal.(2) The experimental results on the basal pressure of the high-speed rail reinforced earth retaining wall for the subgrade shoulders.(3)The coefficient of earth pressure of the high-speed rail reinforced earth retaining wall for the subgrade shoulders.(4) The experimental results on deformation behavior of structure of the high-speed rail reinforced earth retaining wall for the subgrade shoulders.(5) The potential failure surface of the high-speed rail reinforced earth retaining wall for the subgrade shoulders.(6) The FEM results of the high-speed rail reinforced earth retaining wall for the subgrade shoulders.This page introduced the applying of geogrid reinforced soil retaining walls and the topics reason for doing prototype test research The mainworks include:introducing the site prototype plan,analyzing the data results. The research results point out the accordance or difference with the studied conclusion of the failure surfaces’ s shape, pressure distribution and the biggest pull of geogrid reinforced soil retaining walls at home and abroad,enrich and develop the technology of the geogrid reinforced soil retaining walls greatly.
