Methodologies used in this research are including comparative analysis, case study, literature review and interview. It research from the theory level analysis the relationship between nature development and human development to a generally micrometric level to make proposals depending on the historical review experience of UK in tackling environmental issues brought by industrialization and urbanization. The vision of urban development and foreseeable new challenges are waiting for us in the post-industrial age through cross-temporal comparative studies between UK and China.
