| Depending on its superior pavement performance and driving comfort, asphalt pavement is being widely used in highways and city roads all over the world. However, for long-term being affected by natural environment and vehicle load, the mechanical property of asphalt mixture would reduce year by year, and then influnce asphalt pavement service function. At present, studies on the aging performance of asphalt mixture are mostly from the aspects of the asphalt basic performance aging rule and the asphalt mixture pavement performance, and there has little research on the aging performance of rubber asphalt mixture overlay pavement from the aspect of pavement structure. This paper investigated the influence of aging on rubber asphalt and its mixture mechanical properties from aspects of the basic properties of rubber asphalt, the pavement performance of rubber asphalt mixture, the vibration reduction and energy absorbing of the rubber asphalt mixture overlay.To determine the appropriate parameter of rubber powder, this paper researched rubber asphalt basic properties variation with different parameters of rubber powder from several aspects, such as:penetration, ductility, softening point, viscosity, rutting factor. Taking contrast test to investigate basic performance’s variation of rubber asphalt and the matrix asphalt under different aging degrees, this paper gives the conclusion that the rubber asphalt has better aging resistance.In order to investigate high temperature stability and water stability, fatigue performance of the rubber asphalt mixture, this paper took the Rutting Test, Immersion Marshall Test and Split Test indoor to make a contrary, and analyzed aging degree on the pavement performance of the rubber asphalt and the base asphalt mixture.To determine the influence of different aging degree on rubber asphalt mixture overlay’s vibration reduction and energy absorbing, the ball-dropping tests are taken in this paper. From the results of tests, it can be easy to see that the vibration response of the overlay is a gradual attenuation process suffer impact force, and the higher aging degree, the more obvious vibration energy attenuation; The amplitude of vibration response is increasing linearly with the ball-dropping height, while considering the short-term aging and long-term aging effects, the amplitude of vibration response is consistent with the exponential relationship; When the distance is equal between measuring point and vibration signal soruce, and mechanical boundary conditions of measuring point are similar, the energy of pavement vibration is spreading symmetrically. |
