| This paper is a subsidiary of the application and research combination program of Shanghai (No.H CXY-2013-39). As one of the vital component of automobile, headlamp affects not only on overall appearance, but also on driving safety. Compared to traditional lamps, LED outstands in its long lifetime, low power-consumption, small volume, quick response, design and control flexibility, etc. Specifically, LED luminaire can be mounted shallowly, thus providing more space for automobile. The feature of control flexibility enables the possibility of realizing safe and comfortable road lighting by changing light patterns. With the development of white light LED technology and people’s demand for eco-friendly products, an increasing number of automobiles are using LED headlamps. There is an inevitable trend of the large-scale application of LED headlamps.In the automobile headlamp market, currently domestic suppliers still do not have the technology capability of independently developing or mass manufacturing all-LED headlamps. However, the trend of applying combination technology on next-generation automobile depends on the design of LED high-beam and low-beam headlamps. The updated LED intelligent headlamp system overcomes the disadvantages of traditional mechanic one in lifetime and reliability. It changes light patterns by array, and will surely be welcomed by designers and consumers for its flexibility and humanization.The thesis designed a type of LED high and low beam integration headlamps, including optical system, basic radiator and configuration, based on domestic and foreign research on automobile lighting, with considerations on the requirements for compatibility, availability and mass production. Major works are as follows:1. Based on the research on China semiconductor industry, headlamp developing history and present status, the value of this research is proposed. The main contents of the thesis are proposed through analysis on developing status and trend of LED headlamps.2. This research focuses on the design of LED high and low beam integration headlamps. Taking advantage of LED, utilization efficiency of light is improved conforming to relevant standards. A type of headlamp which is simple, small, applicable for industry manufacturing and flexible for different automobiles is designed.3. Based on the current status of regular LED optical system applications, an optical system design is proposed. Its light patterns are totally created by free-form surface reflectors, and it is small in size by dividing sectors, thus sparing mounting space for headlamps. According to GB 25991-2010 National Standards for Automobile LED Headlamps, simulation, radiator and configuration design are applied to the reflector using LucidShape optical design software and CREO three-dimensional design software.Innovation1. The design is more compactable Compared with the other design of multi-LED headlamp structure, the general consumption of halogen beam lights is 55w, the work’s consumption is only 2.4W,,with a significant energy saving advantage for future electric vehicles.2. Compared with the use of high beam LED independent design/low beam, the design is low cost tooling.3. Size of the overall structure of only 100mm* 110mm, smaller and more fit for the streamlined body, minimalist aesthetic of the overall design, model applicability high. |
