Assembly is the final link in engine manufacturing, but also takes the most time and effort links over the entire engine manufacturer. Engine crank linkage as an engine of the most important and complex mechanical structure, it is implicated in many parts and related problems wide. So the research of virtual assembly key technologies of engine crank connecting rod mechanism in this paper, the main research contents are:(1) Research on assembly modeling technology of engine crank connecting rod mechanism. Based on the analysis of assembly structure model, proposed the establishment of engine crank connecting rod mechanism model of mixed model with hierarchical assembly model and assembly relation model. Using CAD modeling system to create a three-dimensional model of the engine crank connecting rod mechanism, this completes the whole assembly of engine crank link mechanism and gets preliminary analysis of the assembling process. Information of Model can be used as research on the information basic of key technology.(2) Research on the assembly sequence planning of engine crank link mechanism. The improved ant colony algorithm combined with priority constraint matrix, getting a feasible assembly sequence, in order to adapt to the assembly function of polymerization and assembly redirection, assembly stability and assembly operations in parallel as the evaluation criteria, planning out the engine crank connecting rod mechanism two assembly sequence optimization.(3) Research on engine crank connecting rod mechanism assembly technology. Based on the assembly deviation element and directed graph as the foundation theoretical, through the assembly structure layer dimension chain component layer and part layer and feature layer to establish assembly hierarchy structure model and use of the extended adjacency matrix storage error information.
