With the increasing of comprehensive strength of our country, the construction of tunnel is becoming more and more. However, due to the concealment complexity and uncertainty, tunnel engineering accidents occurred frequently and always lead to serious consequences. In order to reduce casualties and economic losses in the construction, ensure the safety of tunnel construction, Take risk assessment during the tunnel construction process is particularly important.Combining with the existing data and literature, the basic theory of risk analysis and accident mechanism will be analyzed in this article. Then determine the cause of the accident factors, risk evaluation index system for the establishment of the provide method and basis, Establish a comprehensive risk evaluation index system of tunnel construction. The traditional analytic hierarchy process in the process of tunnel construction risk evaluation has the characteristics of combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. At the same time, in the process of determining risk index weights exit discreteness and imbalance. This article adopts the method of grouping variable weight by expert questionnaire of risk index weights for clustering analysis, using the grouping variable weight method to calculate the grouping variable weight coefficient values. Finally, take Tianshan tunnel as engineering background, using the method described above to analysis and assess the existing risk in the process of tunnel construction, then tunnel construction risk evaluation model can be set up. The results show that for AHP weight value index weight using grouping variable weights can be improved to better reflect the risk assessment model of balance between the requirements of indicators, so that the results of risk assessment more authenticity, rationality.
