The stator winding is the key component of generator, the main function is energy conversion and electric energy output. The stator windings chronically withstand the effect of magnetic forces of double-frequency 100 Hz and the operating frequency of 50 Hz when the turbo-generator is running, if the natural frequency of stator windings is close to 100 HZ or 50 Hz, the stator windings will resonate, excessive vibration will lead the fault of insulation abrasion and coil short circuit, cause serious damage to the turbine generator. Therefore, the research on structural design of the stator windings, vibration characteristics and mechanical properties under the action of electromagnetic forces, become the top priority of turbo-generator design and manufacturing. The structure of stator windings, vibration characteristics and electromagnetic properties are thorough researched in this paper using the virtual prototyping technology. The main work is as follows:First, the three-dimensional models of turbo-generator stator windings are established in Pro/E software, to achieve the parameterization and serialization of modeling the stator winding; meanwhile the electrical connection of the stator ends windings are relatively thorough researched.Second, the beam elements is used to establish a more accurate three-dimensional model of stator winding single bar and do its modal analysis in ANSYS, and the modal analysis results of the single bar are compared with which done in Workbench. In addition, the two-dimensional finite element analysis of electromagnetic properties for the upper and lower bars of stator windings is also done. Then, the four type of fixed structure of stator end windings are modelled in Pro / E,and inputted the 3D models into the ANSYS/Workbench, the modal analysis is doing and the modal analysis results of different structures are compared. Finally, the 1000 MW three-phase non-salient pole synchronous generator is designed and analyzed in the related modules of Ansoft Maxwell 16.0 software. In this paper, a more systematic and comprehensive research for the stator windings woven structure of large turbo-generator is carried out by virtual prototyping technology, and a lot of important conclusions with reference value is gained; these provide animportant reference for the design, manufacturing and analysis of stator windings.
