| Tooling design play an important role in the development process of the product, the design’s quality and speed directly affect the delivery date and quality of the entire product. Under the big market and big competition environment, the delivery date becomes the main factor of competitive now; the traditional tooling design pattern cannot meet today’s businesses need for the market’s rapid response and lean manufacturing. This thesis analysis the research work about tooling design done by international and domestic scholars, summarized the problems existing in the current tooling design, such as tooling describe complex, large memory capacity and workload, etc, is not easy to query and retrieve tooling knowledge. For practical problems that exist in the above tooling design, this thesis proposes a method for rapid tooling design based on knowledge template, in order to improve the efficiency of tooling design and the quality of products. The main research work done as follow:(1) This thesis introduces a concept of knowledge template based on object-oriented, through the analysis of tooling knowledge template structure; the knowledge template has been created based on function-behavior-structure model. Then classifies the tooling; builds the typical tooling template library for the typical tooling and standard parts which have obvious characteristic parameters and are easy to parameterize; adopts modularization idea and builds the tools structure template library for the tooling products with complex structure and are not easy to parameterize.(2) This thesis uses parametric technology and case-based reasoning technology into the tooling design, summarized these lecting principle of tooling knowledge template and the rapid tooling design process based on knowledge template, and a large tooling rack rail cars, for example, to verify the method based on knowledge template has the practical application in rapid tooling design.(3) With the collaborative management of the open and reconfigurable platform, the system architecture of rapid tooling design was proposed, the main functions were customized. With enterprise process data as data sources, the theory, technologies, methods and system were validated in this thesis. |
