| With the development of economy and incessant improvement of water quality monitoring method, the water quality standards have been established more stringently. Limitations of the conventional water treatment processes such as the lower removal rates of organics and NH3-N, and the problem of excess DBPs are becoming more and more acute because of the increasingly complicated water pollution. To upgrade and reconstruct the conventional water treatment processes will be the future of all water supplying enterprises.The Yellow River Diversion Project To ZiBo which was designed with the conventional water treatment processes has the second phase project on its agenda as the water supply quantity increasing continuously in recent years. The problem of the water pollution along the diversion channel is increasingly severe, although the water quality standards have been improved. So, the technology innovation in water treatment on the basis of enlarging the water supply scale in the second project designing is necessary and has crucial significance for improving water quality, improving investment environment and promoting regional development.Firstly, the Ozonation-Biological Activated Carbon (O3-BAC)process was recommended in the second project designing after comparing and analyzing several advanced water treatment processes used at Home and Abroad over the years. Moreover, combining the situation of the first phase, the second phase project according to raw water, site condition, the water purification process and effluent quality was designed which was based on the O3-BAC process. |
