With the increasingly of Yellow River water pollution, The characterics of Yellow River reservoir water are gradually eutrophied with low turbidity, high algae, high organic pollution. The ozone-activated carbon is a commonly used technology in drinking water treatment, which can remove organic pollutants and ammonia nitrogen effectively of the waterbody. This paper was demonstration project study, part of the research of "Major Science and Technology Program for Water Pollution Control and Treatment"(2012ZX07404-003).The raw water of Jinan Quehua water plant is Yellow River reservoir(Queshan reservoir) water,"high density sedimentation tank±ozone contact tank±upward flow of biological activated carbon filter±V-sand filter" is identified as the demonstration project water treatment process. This paper focuses include the following aspects:(1) The upward flow of BAC filter run effects research;(2)Combined process of O3/H2O2-BAC-sand filter run effect study. The upward flow of BAC filter run effects research results:Organics removal decreased rapidly in30days prior to the BAC filter run, while around150days, the removal rate stabilized, and activated carbon adsorption relative saturated; BAC was stable removal of CODMn、 UV254and TOC at different temperature; A higher temperature enhances microbial metabolism, and it’s conducive to the removal of BDOC; It can effective erosion biofilm aging on the carbon particles and impurities exist between the carbon particles by10min of gas backwash, it’s conducive to the microbial metabolism and improve the removal of organic matter; By the test, BAC filter recoil cycle of15days is reasonable and the backwash has no effect to the subsequent sand filter. Combined process of O3/H2O2-BAC-sand filter run effect study results: The long-running of combined process show that it can maintain a good result for organic compounds. THMFP, taste and odor substances when the turbidity lower than8NTU; The combined process of CODmn. TOC and UV254total removal with increasing dosage increase when ozone dosage of1.0-2.0mg/L; Overall, the addition of H2O2removal was slightly better than ozone alone; In the influent conditions, when Ozone dosage of1.0mg/L,1.5mg/L and2.0mg/L. does not require dosing H2O2. Effluent bromated were lower than5μg/L, in line with the requirement of state water quality standards. Even in the absence of hydrogen peroxide dosing still be able to ensure that the water quality safety; Before the saturated adsorption the removal effect of BAC for CODMn, TOC, NH3-N was significantly better than after adsorption saturation, but had little change for the UV254removal; The new process was better removal of organics, NH3-N, precursors of trihalomethanes, taste and odor substances than the original process.
