On the number of traffic accidents and traffic accident severity, speeding has become the biggest cause of frequent occurrence of traffic accidents in china. In order to be able to effectively reduce the speed on the traffic calming road such as the living road, factory gateway, the school road and so on, the installation of different Speed Bumps has become a major slowdown measures. However, if setting speed bumps is improper, the Vehicle Crossing Speed Bumps not only cannot achieve the best effect of the slowdown, but also the process produces vibration will have larger influence to the environment. So Studying on the Vibration’s Characteristics and the reducing effect by the Vehicle Crossing Speed Bumps have important practical and theoretical significance.Firstly, the paper explains the types and characteristics of speed bumps, and sums up their actual application and the advantages and disadvantages. Through analyzed the causes and the main factors in theory, influences of various factors have been selected such as speed, types of speed bumps, material of speed bump and material of the road on the surface. At the same time, the traffic environmental vibration method has been also summarized in the world.Secondly, by using the orthogonal design and the SPSS software, eight test plans with the representative have been selected to experiment. Through measure the vibration time domain signal by the car crossing the speed bumps and analysis of the characteristics of the vibration signal, the assumed processes including three parts of wheels hit the speed hump, wheels cross the speed humps, the wheels fall down on the ground can be verified. And it takes the extreme values of the vibration signal as the experimental index of study.Finally by using the orthogonal design and variance analysis and range analysis, influences of various factors have been investigated such as speed, types of speed bumps, material of speed bump and material of the road on the surface and the optimum mix proportion is obtained. The optimal mix proportion of the minimum of outside vibration is "the low speed through the speed bumps, the asphalt as the material of the road on the surface, the rubber as the material of the speed bumps, the type of the speed bumps is enhanced". At not considering the speed factor, the optimal mix proportion of the best Slowing effect is "the asphalt as the material of the road on the surface, the rubber as the material of the speed bumps, the type of the speed bumps is standard". At not considering the speed factor, the optimal mix proportion of the Maximum value of the vehicle vibration is "the asphalt as the material of the road on the surface, the rubber as the material of the speed bumps, the type of the speed bumps is standard". By using FFT, the time-domain signal of the vibration acceleration is changed the acceleration Spectrum signal to analysis and evaluate the Vibration. The results indicated that the main of the acceleration Spectrum signal is low frequency signal, and the master frequency of the outside vehicle is in the range of 5-50 Hz, and the master frequency of the inside vehicle is in the range of 2-35 Hz. With the increase of the speed crossing speed bumps, the extreme values of master frequency of the speed bumps is increasing, and the master frequency inside the vehicle of the speed bumps is increasing.
