Study On Intelligent Public Transportation System In Weihai

With the expanding demand for public transportation, the traditional means of public transport management can not meet the new requirements. Intelligent public transport is the developing direction of the bus system. Through the intelligent transportation and vehicle management improvement, the efficiency of existing facilities and the carrying capacity of the road network can be improved.Under the background of intelligent transportation system construction in Weihai, the intelligent public transportation system has been chosen as the research objective. By investigating the current situation and public transportation system demands, we propose the scheme of the intelligent public transportation system in Weihai.Through investigation and analysis, combined with the specific needs of Weihai, the intelligent public transportation system has been proposed. It consists of data center, command center, call center, network platform support system, car-mounted terminal support system, passenger information service system, bus dispatching management system and bus ERP system and so on. This thesis has designed the detailed engineering content, functional index and performance requirements according to "Three centers, Two supports, Three applications". And the car-mounted terminal support system, bus dispatching management system and bus APP client has carried on the function and performance test. Each unit involved in the system has been designed and planned. Through integration of each unit, all aspects relevant to the construction of the intelligent public transportation system in Weihai has been basically covered.With the construction of Weihai’s intelligent transportation system, it can create favorable social benefits and increase economic efficiency through passenger transport safety, city livability, intelligent management, passengers’satisfaction, operating costs, promoting the overall image of the city of Weihai. This thesis make a feasible research to achieve this goal from the perspective of planning and design.
