Research On The Tianjin Port And The Port Development Of Logistics Financial Business

The Tianjin port is the largest comprehensive port of north China, which locates at the junction of the Beijing-Tianjin megalopolis and the Bohai economic zone, linking the silk roads of sea and land. Tianjin port has excellent basic land conditions to develop logistics warehousing service. In 2014, its handling capacity has run up to 540 million tons and land area has reached to 132 square kilometers. Furthermore, the port has commodities goods category with financial attributes, which creates favorite conditions to carry out the business of logistics finance.In developed countries, logistics finance has already been carried out for a long time, and formed more mature modes in actual operations. However, it is a relatively new concept in China. Although its scale is growing in recent years, many problems and risks are disclosed as the rapid development of logistics finance business.Starting from the concept of logistics finance, this paper introduces the types and the role of logistics finance business. And some mature modes of operation are elaborated in detail. According to the situation of the development of logistics finance in Tianjin port, the paper analyzes the environment facing by the implement of logistics finance, and identifies the opportunity, advantage, threat and weakness in practice. Predicting the capacity of existing business model in 2015-2017.Based on the results of SWOT analysis, we propose some ideas and methods for Tianjin port to carry out the business of logistics finance, and elaborate how to expand core competitive advantage like this under the circumstance that the main business is slowing down in Tianjin port.Finally, we summarize the preceding analysis in the last chapter. There is great space to develop logistics finance in Tianjin port. It is believed that the Tianjin port could set up and improve the emerging port service function, and finally establish a system of logistics finance business, through the optimization of its strategic development planning, in order to make the logistics finance service better and better.
