With the development of city construction, foundation pit engineering technology is undergoing rapid changes. Underground space is being exploited and used on a large scale in various areas of China, at the same time, many complex foundation pit projects appear, and the scale of foundation pit becomes deeper and broader. Foundation pit engineering involves many disciplines such as rock and soil mechanics, material mechanics, hydrogeology, structural engineering and environmental engineering, contains work content like reconnaissance, design, construction and monitoring, and is usually affected by the nature of the soil, environmental conditions, construction period, cost, construction level, etc. So, foundation pit is a kind of system engineering with strong comprehensiveness. We have gained rich experience in fields of foundation pit design theory, numerical simulation, information monitoring, construction methods and management models, and the overall level of foundation pit engineering has significantly improved. But, foundation pit engineering is usually near complicated underground pipelines, roads, bridges, subway tunnels and existing buildings, accidentally, it may jeopardize its own and nearby building facilities’security and cause huge economic losses. As a result, stability of foundation pit becomes the key to the success of the whole project. In order to predict the internal force and deformation of foundation pit, and optimize the design of supporting structure reasonably, we have to choose suitable means to study motion law of the foundation pit’s soil and working principle of supporting structure. In terms of design calculation, this paper chooses elastic foundation beam method, because it considers mutual effect between force and deformation. In terms of numerical simulation, FLAC3D software is used because it can vividly simulate not only artificial structure, but also geotechnical structure such as foundation pit, slope and tunnel.This paper carries out the following work:(1) The supporting structure of foundation pit is designed and calculated, based on which the stability of foundation pit is checked;(2)A three-dimensional model is built to simulate the excavation of the foundation pit under pile anchor support and analyze contour plots of stress and displacement;(3)According to numerical simulation and monitoring data, motion law of the foundation pit’s soil and the characteristics of stress and force in support structure are identified to provide references for design of the later foundation pit.
