In a huge parking which has a large number of parking lots, while the lots distribute widely, layout complexly, drivers can’t understand the yard distribution and the use of parking lots after entering the parking lot, this brings difficulties to the drivers’parking and great influence to the traffic near the parking entrance in rush hour traffic. Since 2008, parking guidance system begins related research and technology development at home and abroad. Based on the current parking guidance system of parking lot has the characters which include single function, poor stability, complex maintenance, high cost and mostly applies only to the problem of underground parking garage, this paper designs and realizes a kind of parking guidance system applied in large open-air parking lot.Parking lot parking guidance system designed in this paper combines the advanced embedded processing technology, data collection technology, wireless data communication technology and application software development. With the single chip processor as the core controller of parking cell detection, this paper designs and realizes parking space detection module on the basis of the ultrasonic sensor. According to the wireless characteristics of the system data transmission, this paper designs a special wireless communication protocol to ensure the effectiveness and reliability of data in the process of transmission. On the touch server terminal, server-side application is designed including user operation interface using the c# advanced programming language and the database storage table is designed, a parking space data processing program is created that enables the touch-screen terminal to collect each parking space detector data and monitor the entire parking lot state in real time. Finally complete the touch screen query software design of the parking space which including the design of a parking lot parking map that has the functions including amplification、diminish、 recovery and parking reservation, etc.After setting up this system and tests in the laboratory and parking lot, the experimental results show that the parking detector can detect parking state reliably, wireless data transmission is stable and reliable and system can realize the parking lots query function which based on the parking lot touch screen. The system in the field of the ground parking lot parking guidance has a certain practical application value and popularization.
