More and more people are concerned about traffic congestion,which has become a worldwide problem. The current status of the traffic problem is an urgent need to excavate the deep root causes of urban transport problems. To solve urban traffic problems not only rely on the traffic management and coordination of policies and regulations, but also need to dig deep within the city fabric area to find out the crux. Urban development axis region is an important area of urban transport links, it is an important part that related to the efficiency of the urban road network.Firstly, the paper starting from relationship of urban development axis and urban fabrics, and analyzing the impact of traffic factors on urban spatial development directions, and classificating the type of urban development axis from the perspective of morphology and traffic characteristics,and then proposing a combination of different types of urban development axisAnd from the perspective of traffic organization, it is elaborated that the processing the mode of traffic organization based on Point Axis Theory, a single two-way traffic flow and control characteristics, traffic canalization in the domestic and international comparison, modes of transportation combined with application, connection of Rail Stations and Bus site in the region of development axis.Followed by quantitative research at home and abroad area of urban development axis case, summary and induction of typical network model of urban development axis abroad, proposed to learn from the experience of organization’s ease of transportation, road network density and so on.At last,the paper concludes with the axis of urban development strategy of the regional road network model, draw reasonable organizational model of urban development axis of the regional road network, and transport and land use were analyzed using model test to calculate the efficiency of the road network mode.
