Accidents of ships which meet current criteria for stability question applicability of the criteria as well as the large amount of new ship types. The stability criterion of water based on static condition can not ensure the safety of ships in waves. The latest results of the hydrodynamics theory make it possible to research the stability of ship in wavesIMO manages the discussion of the second generation of intact stability criteria. The new criteria includes five kinds of failure modes,one of which is pure loss of stability.The development of procedure is based on the study of criterion and the revised draft. The improvement of the criteria is proposed with the research of the sample calculation The draft of new criteria is fundamentally determined. Applying criteria to permissible vertical center curve of gravity is researched in this paper. The contents are as follows:(1 Vulnerability criteria draft and the improvements. Research the improvements such as canceling the loll angle and adding the angle of stable heel and choosing Japanese method. The reasons of these improvements are researched as well.(2)Update pro gram of criteria of pure loss of stability with new draft. Verification of the program is finished with the calculation of C11 ship. Besides, analyzing how to determine the angle of stable heel when GZ curve is distinctive.(3) calculate 98 seat passenger ferry.(4) Applying criteria to permissible vertical center curve of gravity is researched in this paper to check whether ship is in accord with criteria on any condition. |
