The characteristics of anisotropic, brittle, difficult to process and other defects make the connection between composite components and metal components even more complicated, and the connection quality is difficult to control. However, the use conditions of composite components determine the joints often need to deliver more force and torque, so the connection technology and assembly quality of composite components and metal components becomes more and more important.With rapid development and wide application of bonding assembly technology in composite radome, there is still a big gap in assembly technology of composite radome and steel ring between China and the international advanced level. Due to the large volume, numbers, species, area occupied and the high cost of existing dedicated tooling fixture and the use of manual operation and visual observation in current actual connection assembly, it leads to high labor intensity, low ligation efficiency, automate production is hard to realize, and it is difficult to ensure the connection quality, and product consistency is poor, unable to meet the growing demand for aviation development, which makes it a technical problem to be solved urgently in china aviation industry.In this paper, in order to solve the problems of low connection efficiency, difficult to guarantee the quality, suite fixture of composite radome and steel ring for aerospace high-end equipment, combined with some enterprise related technology requirement, on the basis of existing bonding process and suite fixture research, we develop a quick assembly design system of flexible suite fixture and propose NC suite bonding method, and design a dedicated NC equipment which includes NC suiting, online measurement, pressure testing and other functions.Combined with structure characteristic of composite radome and steel ring and the analysis of the existing suite bonding process, classify the product specification and make matching analysis, design a quick assembly management system of flexible suite fixture for composite radome and steel ring with rapid response, good flexibility, convenient operation and management.According to NC suite bonding methods and technical requirements of composite radome and steel ring, the main function parameters of devices is determined, the overall structure and functional components of equipment device is designed, and optimal scheme is selected by comparing different designs. In order to verify the rationality and feasibility of the design scheme, static analysis is conducted for key parts of the design scheme to verify the static stiffness. In addition, the axis-alignment measurement and error in the suite process are analyzed and several possible measurements and data processing methods are given.The research work and stage achievements in this paper lay a solid technical foundation for significantly improving NC suite bonding technology level of composite radome and steel ring in China’s aerospace high-end equipment, and meeting the setting needs of high quality, high efficient and mass production for composite radome and steel ring.
