BIM Promoting The Development Of Project Cost Management

In rencent years, the technology of BIM is widely spread in our construction project, as BIM is a building construction project data model with related information. The application of BIM technology has made certain achievements, but it encounters are so many difficulties in practice. The paper studies on the application status of BIM in the field of project cost management and analysis the problems encountered in the application process.According to the current situation of the development of cost management, we intend to solve the presence of low efficiency, poor precision,the traditional cost management model sharing difficult, lack of real-time monitoring and many other issues by the technology of BIM. There are definitions of project cost, cost management, and BIM, analysing the formation process of engineering cost, the affection of BIM to the owner, the designer, the constructor, and the supplier on various factors and the impact of different partners on driving force, resistance and condition. It focus on analysing and discussing BIM impact on engineering cost at the stage of design, elaborating BIM applies to the cost management producing tremendous value.
