With the rapid expansion of the national economic, not only does the bridge construction ask for satisfying the traffic, but also people ask more for the art part of the structure.Because of the pursuit of perfection by those designers, there are so many new and original styles of bridge emerging day by day.The form of the arch bridge becomes more and more abundant.A few highly personalized special-shape arch brigdes have been replacing some traditional arch bridges, making it be a potted history of the world bridge.So, this paper will analyse the mechanics characteristic of a special-shape arch brigde for a further step.This paper will summarize the static characteristics,dynamic characteristics and the stability of the Fuhe Bridge, which is an extraversion-asymmetric-curve arch bridge with a main-span of 150 meters.This study can be used in other similar bridges for design basis.First of all,this paper elaborates the development of domestic and foreign steel arch bridge and the characteristic of special-shape arch bridge.Then, using a software named midas civil 2012 establishes a finite element model.By the use of the model,making a simulation analysis.Displace it,the result of the internal forces and stress under single action and combinational action which containting dead load,vehicle load,crowd load,wind load in horizontal direction and temperature system load got including internal force deformation stress. The article simply discusses the phenomenon of shear lag,extended to effective width. Secondly,this paper uses model to analyse natural frequency of Fuhe Bridge;by using the means of spectrum analysis,got displacement along with stress under the action of longitudinal, horizontal and vertical earthquake.In the end,this paper studies the stability theory which includes in-plane buckling and lateral buckling of long-span arch bridge,discussing the stablility by the contrast between on boomless arch effect with dead load and combined dead load with live load effect.
