The continues conjugation meshing movement of a scroll compressor’s moving and static plates is the key to its normal compressing working, which depends on the shape of scroll profiles. So a reasonable designing of scroll profiles directly influences and determines the manufacturing of moving and static plates, even also the machine performance of a scroll compressor. This study is sponsored by the National Nature Science Foundation of China(NSFCNo. 51375515), its propose is to break the natural idea of analyzing only one type of mathematical model corresponding to one type of scroll profiles and to overcome the inherent mathematical properties of single scroll profile. Aiming at performance control coefficients variation characteristic of meshing vector equations of general scroll profiles was studied. Its variable is tangential angle parameter and relying on differential geometry theory, arc function theory and Taylor series theory, eventually finding all types of better performance general scroll profiles based on actual demand and processing capacity. The main contents and results of this paper are described as follows.① Normal equidistant curves creating and envelope equidistant curves creating methods were studied based on characterization vector form of natural parameters and tangential angle parameters in the plane curve. By expanding the series expression of normal and tangential directional decomposition vector functions for general scroll profiles, conjugation meshing conditions were given and two different vector functions’ advantages and disadvantages were analyzed. Finally adopting the form of public normal and tangential directional vectors summing along conjugate point for scroll scroll profiles, the corresponding equations of scroll scroll profiles and geometric properties were given.② The generating principle of the moving and static plates based on general scroll profiles was analyzed, various structural and performance parameters for moving and static plates were summarized additionally. Furthermore, using the GUI toolkit in MATLAB to design and develop a program of general scroll profiles parameters GUI.③ After comparing general scroll profiles with four major categories of profiles, general scroll profiles can contain and express the circle arc profile, basic circle involute profile, changeable circle involute profile and linear combination of accelerating spiral profiles. Moreover, variation characteristic of performance control coefficients for meshing general scroll profiles was summarized through comparing the various performance parameters produced in former one to four coefficients.④ Using the program of general scroll profiles parameters GUI, setting the initial parameters, then the models of scroll profiles, fixed plates and their stress-strain comparisons were done by UG software. The materials selection, blank forming method and other key technologies were analyzed for aluminum forging of moving and static plates complementary.
