Research On The Design Of Resort Hotel Courtyard Space In Western Sichuan AREA

The resort hotels in china begin developing rapidly in recent years. People’s travel demand is increasing year by year because of the growing economy, convenient transportation and additional vacation. With the improvement of consumption level and spiritual needs, the design of resort hotels gradually tends to be diversified. personalized and ecological. Now Resort Hotels should not only meet the single function of accommodation, but also to reflect the utilization of natural resources and the respect of landscape. Among them, the courtyard space is an important functional composition, which has the effect on organizing the space, being harmony with nature, regulating climate and reflecting the regional culture. Therefore, the design of the courtyard space is an important part of tourism Resort Hotel design.Sichuan has rich natural resources and extensive history and culture, in this fertile land, many famous tourist attractions were born,such as Jiuzhai,Qingcheng Mountain, Dujiangyan, E-mei Mountain, etc. At present. the tourist attractions in Sichuan have been built or planning to build a large number of Resort Hotels, which has provided many case studies in practice of courtyard space in Resort Hotel, and we can find some problems and reference in design.The author firstly gives a brief introduction about the development situation of the tourism. Secondly, analyzes some concepts of resort hotel courtyard space. Connect Chinese traditional garden space with modern hotel courtyard space, finding that they have many similarities in the design methods. And get some design methods for reference in the hotel courtyard space through the comparative analysis of outstanding cases in Hangzhou. Thirdly, the author summed up the Influence factors of regional and cultural in the West of Sichuan tourism resort hotel courtyard space design. And investigates and analyzes some local resort hotels which are representative, in order to explore the courtyard space design and existing problems of resort hotel in the West of Sichuan area. Fourthly, based on the former investigation, the author puts forward some relevant strategies to resort hotel courtyard space in Western Sichuan area from four aspects, which are the natural environment fusion, the group space combination mode, the single courtyard space design and the regional culture expression ways. Apply the strategies to specific project and guide the design scheme. Through the analysis of the project,which author is personally involved, to verify whether the strategies in practical design has guiding significance or not.In this paper, although the main study is limited to the Resort Hotel in Western Sichuan area, but the strategies for space design and expressions of regional culture have no limitations. I hope it can be applied to all of the courtyard space in resort hotels design.
