In the process of tunnel excavation, the surrounding rock stress redistribution will build the instability of surrounding rock, made a great impact on tunnel construction progress and construction safety, is about the tunnel construction and operation safety of a very important research content. So the tunnel surrounding rock deformation and failure mechanism, and find out the factors affecting the stability of surrounding rock, and the evaluation grade of surrounding rock, the supporting measures are put forward, is the problem urgently to be solved in the tunnel construction.In this paper, based on lipan highway project, in order to honor the tunnel as the background, the highway tunnel surrounding rock deformation and failure mechanism study, numerical simulation of deformation and failure mechanism, classification of surrounding rock and supporting measures and construction process of numerical simulation. By analyzing the deformation failure mechanism, identify the reasons for deformation and failure, to evaluate the stability of surrounding rock and supporting measures are put forward. The main contents include the following.First, the analysis of tunnel surrounding rock stability of the engineering geological factors and human factors, the deformation and failure mechanism of surrounding rock is analyzed. In view of the weak rock and joint development of surrounding rock, intensity-stress and structure level control is the main deformation failure mechanism, failure mode of the arch of splitting spalling and tensile fracture morphology. Use 3DEC numerical simulation software to simulate the deformation and failure mechanisms.Secondly, in view of the various factors influencing the level of surrounding rock, adopt the method of combining qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, the introduction of fuzzy evaluation method, the processing of various influencing factors of the fuzzy correlation, the evaluation index, the influence of various factors to create suitable for glory will tunnel surrounding rock classification model, and then to honor to differentiate tunnel surrounding rock grade, provide the basis for the choice of supporting measures.Then, according to the situation of tunnel surrounding rock, choose corresponding supporting measures, and use the PLAXIS numerical simulation software to simulate the process of tunnel construction, analysis the construction the deformation of surrounding rock of each working procedure in size, propose appropriate support improvement measures.
