This paper does the research on the precision target testing method based on PSD technology, and the precision target is mainly used for measuring target coordinate parameters of the projectile with double PSD intersection approach. This paper designs the testing scheme of the precision target based on PSD technology. Two word line structure semiconductor lasers are used as active light source of the precision target. The light path detection system is made of optical lens, filter and PSD. Special signal processing circuit is designed. Operating principle of the precision target based on PSD technology is the following. A light screen can be formed by two lasers converging. As the projectile flights through the effective light screen,because of the projectile surface diffusing, the lasers reflected reach to effective light-sensitive surface of PSD through the optical lens and filter. The light is converted to electric signals, and meanwhile, converted signals are processed by subsequent signal processing circuit. The analog signals relating to the offset value of position of PSD are given.Finally the target coordinate of the projectile is achieved with subsequent processing algorithm. The proposing of scheme has certain practical significance, because it can improve these problems of complicated structure, big volume, difficult target, the low accuracy and high price and so on.In shooting range test it has important significance to improve the performance of weapons and the quality of the projectiles.In this paper the main research contents are as follows:1) The types and characteristics of lasers are researched. Based on the comparison and an-alysis of the different lasers, with the analysis of the characteristics of the projectile material, a word line structure semiconductor lasers are chosen as active light source of precision target.2) The detecting optical paths of the lasers reflected are designed.3) The target coordinate calculation formulas are deduced theoretically. The errors are analyzed and the simulation diagrams of the coordinate errors are drawn.4) With Signal processing circuit of PSD, electric signals converted by the PSD are ampli-fied, filtered and denoised. The conversion circuit, two stages for amplification and the circuit of noise filtering are designed.
