Laser ranging positioning technology is currently a new measurement technique, due to measurement means non-contact laser ranging so whether there are still areas of life in the industrial application of a very wide range, with the increasing demand measurement has become an indispensable to the new technology, but also in a variety of industry which plays a vital role. With advances in laser ranging positioning technology market will be even greater.Currently, due to the actual needs of industrial production, laser positioning system development direction is toward higher in the world. Laser whole neighborhood is also moving in this direction the pioneering development research. But now some developed laser ranging technology in the technical aspects of the development there is still a large gap between the majority of high-end products still need to be imported, and the price is very expensive.This topic in the ranging method mach laser triangulation method as the theoretical basis, and analyzes the two kinds of commonly used method of triangulation:direct light into the law and the oblique light into law, and two ways to do a comparative study analysis advantages and disadvantages. In this paper, the method using oblique lighting design. But also on the theory of image processing algorithms of the laser spot were studied.In this paper the short distance laser triangulation positioning instrument hardware and software in detail. On the hardware part of the selection common market stm32 based semiconductor lasers and camera platform for the development of CMOS image sensors as required to complete the paper design major hardware; software part C language is completed and the final on the TFT display measuring distance with real-time image.Finally, at the completion of the software and hardware of the test measurements carried out at the same time, also for the measurement, a detailed analysis of the error is also evaluated. Finally, at the end of the paper on the occasion of the latter part of this paper do outlook, basically meet the design requirements.
