Recently, with the enlargement of city-size, the problem of transportation is becoming more and more prominent and many cities have begun to develop URT(Urban Rail Transit) to ease the pressure brought by the problem of transportation. CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) system with characteristics of safety, reliable and efficiency has become their first choice for the URTATCS (Urban Rail Transit Automatic Train Control System). Zone Controller system plays an important role in CBTC system, since Zone Controller can provide MA(Movement Authority) for the trains, according to which the train can operate safely under ATP (Automatic Train Protection). Computation of the MA relies on ZC system data, so the research on ZC system data is of vital importance. This paper analyzed the data need of ZC system, as well as conducted research and design on ZC system data and its structure, with the research target of data security and the efficient application.In the paper performance and data of ZC system is firstly analyzed, and on this basis the characteristics of static data are concluded. In addition, the legitimacy of the input data is verified with the help of the data preparation tools. Three methods, namely as the range of values, interconnection and logical relations are adopted in the data preparation tools. The method improves the accuracy of data entry and guarantees the data security.Then the static data and dynamic data are designed respectively. As for the design on the static data, according to the features of the guideway’s topology of URT lines, the paper designs the guideway’s topology and data storage structure. Based on this static data attribute design principle is completed combining the data needs, and further, the static data structure has been designed according to this principle. Besides, to meet the needs of static data query, data index structure is projected and the mapping between the edge and data is established. As for the design on the dynamic data, the analysis of its MA has been carried out, and then corresponding analysis and design on two crucial factors as computation of train position and authorization on obstacles have been completed. The study also explores conversion method to obtain train location as well as to tackle the problem of authorizing obstacles.Finally, to verify the correctness and rationality of the data design in the paper, this study combines the data preparation tool with the actual subway line, and based on this preparation tool, the data record file is generated and then applied in the simulation testing platform. Results show that the data design of this paper could basically meet the requirement of ZC system for the data, and the dynamic data structure design could also satisfy the computing demand of MA.
