The Influence Factor Analysis And The Rectify Study Of The Bus Driver’s Bad Driving Behaviour

As the bus driver is both involved in the influence of urban public transport supply quality and serve degree of satisfaction, his individual behaviour, to a large extent, represents the comprehensive image and the tolerance of the whole city. However, in the development of comtemporary public transport, the bad driving behaviour of the bus driver has become the biggest constraint which affects the operating safety and the service quality of the public transport. Moreover, it has become the hot issue that arouses attention from the international public service. On the perspective of mainstream traffic behaviour, traffic security and traffic sociology, with the combination of questionnaire design and empirical study, this present thesis studies the influence factors and the formation mechanism of the bus driver’s bad driving behaviour, through investigating one hundred and fifty bus drivers in Chengdu. It closes with comparatively fruitful results through which we can comprehensively design a monitoring system that is applicable to the bus driver’s driving behaviour, occupational factors and environmental impacts from social, economical, psychological and institutional levels, so as to rectify a current increasingly severe driving danger and public complaining crisis. Such conclusions include,1. Generally, the bad driving behaviour of the bus driver can be categorized as four aspects:adventurous bad driving behaviour, habitual bad driving behaviour, optional bad driving behaviour and individual bad driving behaviour.2. Individually, the male and unmarried bus drivers are easier to behave habitually when driving; the younger bus driver and the driver who has less driving years are easier to behave improperly; the bus driver who has lower deploma is easier to behave optionally; the bus driver who has choleric and melancholic temperament is easier to behave incorrectly than the one who has phlegm and sanguineous temperament.3. Occupationally, the bus driver who has less average monthly salary is easier to behave improperly; the bus driver who has less average working hours is easier to behave adventurously; the bus driver who has more working pressure is easier to behave adventurously and habitually; the bus driver who has more break is easier to behave incorrectly.4. Environmentally, the bus driver who drives in a busier bus route is easier to behave individually and adventurously; the bus driver who has a higher comprehensive quality to the other traffic participants barely behaves improperly; the bus driver who has a lower evaluation to the road conditions of his route is easier to behave incorrectly.5. The formation mechanism of the bad driving behaviour can be concluded as:a ternary unified theory that contains individual and integral amplification mechanism, external and internal cyclic mechanism, imitative and intensive shaping mechanism.
