With the rapid development of economy in China, the boost of cars performance makes cars drive faster and faster on pavement, and the seriousness of the road traffic safety issues highlights gradually. Pavement anti-sliding performance is an important part of reflecting road safety quality, and pavement friction coefficient is the the most important index that is the characterization of its anti-sliding performance. Stable pavement friction coefficient can provide good safety stock for high-speed driving, thus reducing the possibility of traffic accident, so it is very important to detect and evaluate pavement friction coefficient accurately. Existing detection equipment of pavement friction coefficient has many problems, for example, the test tire of side-way force coefficient detection equipment exists serious wear, and the existing evaluation method is not very perfect originally, so these problems not only affect the accuracy of testing data, but also add unnecessary economic investment to road maintenance management industry. It is very necessary to study and analyze the existing detection technology and evaluation method of pavement friction coefficient so that we can find the more objective and effective evaluation new method to reflect the anti-sliding performance. So it is the top priority to accurately grasp the pavement detection’s process and evaluation method after detection to improve the existing evaluation system.For the complicated change mechanism, impact factors and composition of pavement friction coefficient, by studying and analyzing the different features of the existing friction coefficient detection techniques, we use pavement side-way force coefficient check-out car and dynamic friction tester two testing system equipment to respectively test pavement friction coefficient, studying the change relations between test results of SFC or DF and speed or temperature, according to contrast analyzing the wear rate size of pavement side-way force coefficient check-out car’s test tire, also studying and comparing the effect of pavement comprehensive friction coefficient evaluation method based on considering the weight of side-way and longitudinal force coefficient. In this paper, the main research contents and results are as follows:Firstly, discussing the particularity of the rubber friction, and analyzing the mechanism of friction action between tire and pavement, also studying and discussing all kinds of factors impacting pavement friction coefficient, and illuminating impacts that pavement texture feature has on composition of friction coefficient;Secondly, studying and comparing the main detection technique of pavement friction coefficient, and contrasting pavement side-way force coefficient check-out car with dynamic friction tester for test research, and studying the relations between test results of SFC or DF and ground temperature or test speed to different pavement, also contacting the wear rate change diagram of pavement side-way force coefficient check-out car’s test tire, finally getting the speed and temperature under the best wear rate;Thirdly, studying and analyzing the test tire’s side-way force and longitudinal force as well as its impact factors, also putting forward to a kind of comprehensive evaluation method considering side-way force coefficient and longitudinal force coefficient because of their relations, also studying and getting the weight of side-way force coefficient and longitudinal force coefficient under different pavement regarding to the index of pavement comprehensive friction coefficient;Fourthly, by using evaluation model this paper established, verifying the weight’s accuracy of pavement comprehensive friction coefficient’ side-way and longitudinal force coefficient and the effectiveness of evaluation method, through the model’ weight by roads analysis exploring the actual effect of road safety under the evaluation of pavement comprehensive friction coefficient, also verifying the wear law of pavement side-way force coefficient check-out car’s test tire.This paper makes the whole research on pavement friction coefficient’s detection and evaluation, and puts forward to comprehensive evaluation model based on fuzzy theory that can be used as a rapid and effective method to evaluate pavement’s anti-sliding performance.
