The lack of informatization, intellectualization and management are the main problems in data management of diesel engine. The research on MBOM, automatic identification and ontology technology are the key points to those problems. In this paper, supported by RFID and ontology, a program for diesel engine lifecycle management based on MBOM and resource allocation is proposed and studied the assessment & intelligent optimization of assembly technology. The major work is as following:(1) In order to improve the efficiency of diesel engine PLM, MBOM is researched, which is the information base of product data management of modern manufacturing enterprise. It includes the research of mapping algorithm and the built of diesel engine MBOM, and the effective data management is realized.(2) According to the drawbacks of traditional contact identification such as bar code, RFID is introduced in this paper, and mark recognition of diesel engine material items is realized expediently and MBOM based data acquisition is more convenient.(3) According to the problem of poor function and operation of current management system, in this paper a new management system MBOM based is designed, especially the research of resource allocation decision. MES as the information communication platform, synthesizing material storage information and workshop assembly production information, material dynamic distribution is realized effectively based on time penalty function.(4) According to the requirements of intelligent, an ontology based diesel engine assembly process optimization system is built. The assessment & intelligent optimization of assembly technology is rearlized through building the ontology based information model.Flexsim simulation based test and verification results indicate that, the new system built in this paper can realize the function of diesel engine assembly data acquisition, effective management based on MBOM and ontology based intelligent optimization of assembly technology.
