| Ageing of the population has become a big social problem which we have to face and solve right now. The community has begun to strengthen the living environment for the elderly. However, when the social role of the elderly has been changed, a good living environment has an extremely important role for the elderly. It has a practical significance to create a more comfortable, more convenient, safer and more satisfying outdoor environment for the elderly.The research of the residential outdoor environment for the elderly has achieved significant results. Because of the development of the society, it has become the present need to consider the outdoor landscape design by increasing efficiency, saving resources, reducing maintenance management. It is a problem to balance the relationship between the quality and efficiency, which could be achieve a win-win situation of users and developers.Modular design is the study to analyze and decomposea complex system. It not only can improve efficiency, but also can ensure the quality of the outdoor environment. The modular design of the outdoor environments of ordinary residential is aimed at creating the balance between the quality of living and efficiency for users and developers.Aiming at the problems and aspects above, the paper defined the concept of ordinary residential and the elderly activity site. Through the investigation and research, it analyzesthe physiological, psychological characteristics and behavior patterns of the elderly, the characteristics and needs of the space and activity. Then, by using the methods of modular design, it further discussesabout the construction of outdoor activities systems for the elderly, in order to make corresponding decomposed modular. Finally, for the needs of the elderly, the paper explore the use of module combination to obtain modular research applications, so as to provide a reference about the modular design of outdoor activity environment for the elderly in the future. |
