Landscape Renewal And Design Strategy For Railway Wasteland

With the rapid development of Chinese economy, parts of our country have entered the post-industrial society. That brings a large number of industrial wasteland. As a kind of industrial wasteland, railway wasteland was abandoned or idle, with the speed increase of the application of new rail and the train, and the legacy of industrial land. Abandoned railway land brings a series of environmental and social problems. Railway wasteland was transformed into many reuse ways:all removed for other land use, transformed railway construction as the city light rail, transformed landscape land as a park or green space, etc. The article only studies the landscape renewal direction of railway wasteland.After heavily consulting the related data and field investigation, I studied the landscape renewal and design strategy for railway wasteland. My article was based on the present situation and problems of the domestic railway wasteland, relying on the related theoretical basis and practical project experience, and drawing lessons from domestic and foreign outstanding cases.The first and second chapters analyze the background of railway wasteland, explain the relevant concepts, and put forward relevant theoretical support, and the related research situation at home and abroad are introduced.The third and fourth chapters classify and analyze the landscape characteristics of railway wasteland, based on the field survey of the railway land. And I sum up the domestic situation of the railway land itself facing, as well as the main problems of the domestic railway wasteland landscape renewal and design.The fifth chapter introduces a series of related countermeasures and transform directions of each factor of railway wasteland in its landscape renewal. From three different perspectives, ecological, cultural and aesthetic points, I try to revitalize railway wasteland and create society and nature benefits.The sixth chapter analyzes two cases, combined with the fifth chapter which proposed countermeasures, further widening the designing concept of railway wasteland landscape. At the same time the end conclusion compares and rethinks the differences between the domestic and foreign related cases.
