Landscape Design Of Urban Square Based On Region Characteristics

In the new idea of ecological city, living environment and ecological building for city development, the urban square in China developed rapidly. Combined with the urban green space, natural landscape and park, the urban ecological environment improved effectively. Known as the "living room of the city", urban square is the window to display the city image. It is an important platform to highlight the characteristic of a city. As the most attractive urban public space, it can provide the outdoor space for the leisure walk and gathering of people.With the city process speeding up, there appeared the "culture hot" in our country, urban square construction was faced with the the situation of obvious political utilitarianism, commercial interests, the desalination and lack of. urban regional culture. At present, the venation of the theory construction of square is not mature, existing problems in the concept of value orientation and environment planning. There were no mature theory system and effective support of the landscape design of urban square based on region characteristics. The regional design of urban square should combine with local actual condition, digging deep into the local characteristics and cultural heritage to design the square with local characteristics.In this paper, in view of the present urban square problems of the not prominent region characteristic, single function and lack of humanization design in our country, the landscape design based on region characteristics was researched..Through consulting massive literature materials and studying the region characteristics and the urban landscape design in-depth study, there came to a set of method principle. The combination point of urban square and the region characteristics was found out and a set of landscape design method of urban square based on the region characteristics was summarized. It benefited of summarizing the classification method principle for different elements to correctly grasp the function structure, region and cultural characteristics of the city.In case of Changyi cultural square, combining the theory with practice, the regional theory was integrated into the the practice of urban square design. By analyzing the regional factors, location, master planning, design concept, space and landscape structure, the correctness and feasibility of theory in this paper were verified. In order to shape a graceful city space form with the regional culture characteristics, there explored a suitable idea for future urban square space construction, providing the valuable theoretical data for the combination of urban square and the region characteristic in future China.
