Study On The Restoration Of The Han Dynasty Traditional Architecture In The Sanyangzhuang Of Henan Province

Sanyangzhuang Compound Architecture Sites of Han Dynasty, located in the old course of the Yellow River, nearby Sanyangzhuang village,Liangzhuang Town in Neihuang county,Henan province. On June 23, 2003,it was discovered,meanwhile, the archaeological excavations began. The courtyard layout, roads and farmland planting beds of Sanyangzhuang residential sites are well preserved.especially its roof and collapsed walls remain the same.The architecture site is in a class by itself. It was critical period that timber frame system,which is represented by China, from formed,developed to be mature. The found of Sanyangzhuang Compound Architecture Sites of Han Dynasty provides a good opportunity to solve the problem obout the construction of residential house in Han Dynasty.So far, the Insitute of Archaeology of Henan Province is working about archaeological excavation for 4 remainings in the first 7 discovered remainings in Han Dynasty courtyard, whose second place(i.e., no. 2 house) stays intact with detailed survey data, and its structure of countyards perfect. It also has rich building accessory heritage(such as well, stone axe, farmland).So this research mainly based on the research of No.2 yard. Through field investigation, field surveying and mapping, Sanyangzhuang Compound Architecture Sites of Han Dynasty can be described.The research of restoration about it can be done through the archaeology, literature analysis, human body engineering, architecture, architectural graphics.Thus it is possible to compare the relationship between the physical research and stone and brick portraits.The restoration of Sanyangzhuang Compound Architecture Sites of Han Dynasty,not only having made significant archaeological achievents which provide the first-hand information for the condition about residence in Han Dynasty,but also provides a guidance for archaeological excavation in Sanyangzhuang from the field of architecture. At the same time, compared with the study based on the stone and brick portraits, the restoration of Sanyangzhuang Compound Architecture Sites of Han Dynasty may help revise and referencce the research of residence in Han Danysty.
