Meanwhile, it designs the residential landscape through combining the multiple comprehensive elements of green space landscape, place landscape, building landscape, waterscape landscape, road landscape, etc. Finally, it analyzes the design of modern residential internal landscape combined with two practical cases, and summarizes the advantage and disadvantage of the landscape design. At the same time, the residential landscape design shall pay attention to the relationship between human and nature, reflect the “people-oriented” design concept, focus on the landscape practicability, culture, art and ecology, create the friendly and peaceful living space, and meet people’s demand on the modern residential environment.Through the research on the residential landscape design, the paper summarizes the shortcomings of current residential landscape design: for example, the landscape is inconsistent with the building design style, it lacks of the humanization, personalization and ecological design, the landscape plant collocation is not reasonable, etc. For these problems, it improves the modern residential landscape design, and proposes the improving suggestions; Meanwhile, the following conclusions are obtained: nowadays, people pay more and more attention to the residential environment, so is the design of environmental landscape; The residential landscape design is the combination of technology and art, artificial landscape and natural environment. Through the research on the residential landscape design, the author has looked up a large amount of related information, referred to the modern outstanding design cases, and had a more comprehensive and deep understanding on the theory and status related with the existing residential landscape design, the design level is improved to a certain degree, thus providing certain foundation to participate in the residential landscape design in the future, and it hopes to have certain practical and reference significance for the practitioners in the same industry.
