The Research And Application Of Using The Jit Technology In The Product’s Process Based On The Windchill System

Technological advances can always promote the development of productive forces, modern technology makes the traditional and ancient manufacturing to have been considerable development. But in the new period, manufacturing is facing unprecedented challenges. In the new period for manufacturing requirements are more agile manufacturing system, more reliable product quality, reduce costs as much as possible to conserve resources. This needs to promote the re-development of the manufacturing industry.This paper introduces the product data management system firstly. The PDM system’s background and role in this technology. PDM system what has been used in this research is Windchill system that is supported by PTC. The paper explain in detail about the Windchill system’s main functions and roles, such as Windchill-PDMLink in document management, product structure and configuration management, Windchill-MPMLink of process planning and management, Windchill Project Link project information management, project management, etc.Secondly, the paper introduces the JIT technology in production model of single and small batch manufacturing by premise of the calculating the time of parts’ processing and assembly what is called “stimulate production”and it kernel technology is jobs plan without delay. Based on JIT model, “stimulate production” could calculate the exact time for all the spare parts machining time according to the machine tools you had, and deliver time and assemble time from start time of finish time. Based heuristic algorithm single and small batch production plan is compiled by “stimulate production”.Third finish all the design of sliding table part of the drilling machine’s base on Windchill. Then by using the Windchill-PDMLink modules, the principal technical documents related to the drawing file is checked into Windchill’s server. Product data and management operations could be finished, such as check-in and check out of the design drawings and production process and the data related to personnel management and configuration.While taking the advantages of Microsoft Project software and “stimulate production” on project planning capability, the drilling machine’s sliding table processing and assembly plans, could be finished and optimized what optimize conditions are based on machine tools and workers there are in the factory and optimize goal is the end time of the table. Using the advantages of the implementation of the project to manage the entire project of the Windchill-Project Link modules, it includes the management projects’ members and the management of projects’ schedule.
