Abstract/Summary:
As a new type of brace structure, Buckling Restrained Brace(BRB), which has good energy dissipation capacity is widely used in steel structures, while application in concrete structures needs to be improved, nowadays many industry researchers and scholars in the performance of concrete frame structures to do some research. The BRB is introduced into the reinforced concrete structure through reasonable design and arrangement, can greatly reduce the structure self-weight and can greatly improve the seismic performance of reinforced concrete structure at the same time. In the BRBF, the connection way of the brace and the joint of the beam and column is relatively complex, which is one of the most trouble problem in the process of building the model. So this paper designed a BRBF structure, and this framework has carried on the static analysis and dynamic elastic-plastic history time analysis is carried on, then studies the impact on its seismic performance level. Lastly a reasonable arrangement and the advice of specific designment.OpenSees Navigator software is used for the study of the seismic performance of the BRB on the framework. The model, a ten-story and three-bay reinforced concrete frame, is established. The standard model in OpenSees Navigator support for BRB modeling with the connection of the joint of beam and column, a method of connection is proposed for easy operation speed and precision of the software. A BRBF is preliminary designed according to the code, and the framework is checked under severe earthquake. Through multiple parameters, a conclusion will be come that the design of the framework is reasonable, then Pushover analysis is carried out on the structure and a set of artificial wave, two groups of natural wave are used for dynamic time history analysis. The seismic performance of the framework is researched through the analysis of P-A curve and the story drift and the story drift angle under the dynamic time history. In addition, this paper changes parameters of each component of the BRB on the basis of the standard model, then carries on the independent Pushover analyses respectively and a set of artificial wave, two groups of natural wave under the action of dynamic time history analysis following three factors:the thickness of steel tube, the strength of core concrete and the section size of inner core and wide thickness ratio. Summarized respectively in each case, through the horizontal and vertical contrast analysis, and finally reached a conclusion that the influence of different parameters on the BRB and the effect of frame structure in the analysis. Finally, the influence of number of the layers on BRB seismic performance is researched, and conclude the above several factors, the design of the BRB is in the proposal.
