In the modem world where industrial technology is booming so large, the centrifugal compressor is widely used in all walks of life for its compact size, high rotate speed,high single stage pressure ratio and durability. In the meantime, however, the centrifugal compressor consume large amount of energy. Accordingly, the appropriate design and optimization of centrifugal compressor on the basis of energy-saving become increasingly significant these days. We can see evidence that numerous research has been done on how to make possible better operation and efficiency of the centrifugal compressor by designing,optimizing and matching of the rotor and the stator.In this article, the centrifugal compressor model stage is one of the developing model stages of Shenyang Blower Works Group Corporation. The initial Design of the impeller was made through the software of CFturbo and the following three-dimensional numerical simulation and analysis of the impeller was done by NUMECA. The fitting period, the four forms of database generation and optimization of the impeller, so was the selection of the best vane all realized by the module of AUTOBLADE and DEGIGN3 D of NUMECA. The static components were designed respectively by CFturbo on the basis of the best impeller. Further adjustment and optimization of the static components were made according to the analysis of numerical computation results.The results of this research provide some instructions on the optimization of the impeller vane, flow path and static components, which hope could be set as the basis of the future research.
