Energy has become the critical resource in the modern society since the industrial revolution. However, the reserve of non-renewable resources such as coal, petroleum and gas has been sharply decreased under the abuse. Therefore, it has been a hot issue that every country, especially the developed countries, focuses on searching the new alternative energy. Under this situation, nuclear as the high efficient, clean and economic energy has been used to generate electricity by many countries.Although China has plenty of land and energy, the large population and unreasonable use of energy put the large pressure on lack it. As a result, China has developed the nuclear industry to face the lack of energy. In spite of the irreplaceable advantage of nuclear, the difficulty to deal with the nuclear waste has become more severe. Nuclear waste has dangerous radiation with long radioactive half-life which could be up to tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands of years. Consequently, how to deal with the nuclear waste has become a topic all over the world.Thesis is based on the FangJiaShan nuclear power plant TES cement solidified line project using automation technology, industrial communication network technology and powerful configuration software technology, finishing the work of design and development a monitor system based on Siemens configuration software WTNCC.Thesis firstly describes the great significance to the development of nuclear power for China briefly, and makes a brief review of the history of the development of configuration software technology, introduces the configuration software commonly used. Secondly, it explains the details of the overall design scheme of the cement solidification process monitoring system for nuclear waste disposal. Then, the structure of the cement solidified line, the structure and function of the main equipment and process of cement solidification are elaborated. The next, thesis introduces the design process of the process control system in detail consisting of field equipment, central control and monitoring system, which can realize the function of real-time control, historical data display, alarm prompting and so on. Finally, thesis introduces the openness of the configuration software WINCC, and builds a project to do the real-time WINCC database access with VB.After several months’ testing, FangJiaShan cement solidification process control system works perfectly, meeting the requirement well. The system has been put into use now and got the owner’s praise.
