The catwalks as the key operation platform and the foremost overhead work pass during the cable system construction of suspension bridges,play the vital role in suspension bridges’s construction process. As the span of suspension bridge increased, the requirement of catwalks design and construction’s precision to be greatly improved.This paper take long span double-deck suspension bridge catwalks as study object, based on the Dalian Xinghaiwan cross-sea bridge,basis of extensive collection engineering example、correlated references and specifications,according to the construction drawing of catwalks,make simplified simulation and deformation analysis under the action of loads;Compared with actual measurement data,make the brief analysis on the control point coordinates、the main cable shape adjustment methods、measuring origin,according to the actual construction stage.The main contents are as follows:(1)Classification and summary the conventional basic structural form of catwalks basis of sufficient study on engineering example, made summary on the history of development about suspension bridge and catwalk.
