In recent years, foreign trade of China has become increasingly frequent with the continuous development of China’s economy. In order to meet the needs of national economic development and adapt to the changing international situation and follow the "going out" strategy call and in response to the deployment of national "one belt and one road" and speed to the modernization process of our country and actively promote regional economic development of China, so, China will usher a new round of upsurge in port construction. Then, it will not only increase the domestic port construction investment, but also encourage domestic’s port construction group or enterprise that has the leading construction technology level of world gradually go abroad and actively join the port construction team in the world, which will provide a strong transportation guarantee for further sustained and rapid development of China economic. At present, it is less about the comparative study of port engineering design in China and abroad. And the specification or standards of port design in China and abroad are updated and the content will be improved with the change of time. In orde to that make our port construction group or enterprise smoothly go to the port constructon tide of the world, so it is important that proactive knowledge and understanding the specifications or standards of port engineering in foreign. It will not only has a effective and correct port engineering construction at abroad, but also can improve the design of port engineering in domestic, more standardized and internationalization. The research based on the ship load design in the "Chinse port engineering load code"(JTS144-1-2010), then it has a in-depth comparative analysis on the method of mooring force, pressing force and impact energy design in "Maritime Structure" (BS6349-1:2000) and "Design of Marine Facilities for the Berthing, Mooring, and Repair of Vessels" (American ASCE manual,2004) and "Technical Standard of Port Facilities" (Japan,2007), then, it selects bulk carriers, oil tankers and container ships and calculates the value of wind load, water load, mooring force and impact energy using the software of Excel according to the design of four kinds of specification in different countries. The research analyzed the calculated value using the software of Orign and summarized the difference of ship load design between the China and abroad. The research will put forward some reasonable suggestions of ship load in design of port engineering and provide scientific and reasonable reference for port engineering construction in abroad.
