The residential buildings industrialization of steel structure can increase the efficiency of construction, improve the quality of construction. It has environmental protection and energy saving merits, accords with the requirement of sustainable development, and has broad prospects in the development of future buildings. The beam-column connections of steel frame are the key parts in structure design, of which the frame of semi-rigid connections have advantages in terms of ductility energy dissipation. Beam-column end-plate connection is a kind of semi-rigid connection, which has the advantages, such as field assembly, high efficiency of construction, better quality, good seismic performance, etc. In order to promote beam-column end-plate connection shows diversity in the structure, and improve the mechanical properties of existing beam-column end-plate connection, this thesis proposes a new beam-column end-plate connection, that is, angle steel-end plate reinforced beam-column connection. The works and achievements around this connection are expanded as follows:Firstly, the reliability of the finite element software and the rationality of the analysis program settings were verified. According to the existing experiment of beam-column end-plate connection, by using the software ANSYS, the beam-column end-plate connection models were established, the reasonable relevant properties and parameters of the finite element model were set up, which could reflect the real test loading method for numerical simulation. The simulation results were compared with experimental results. The results showed that hysteretic performance, deformation and bearing capacity were accorded well between two results. It indicated that the finite element program setting was reasonable, which was the foundation of the setting method of the follow-up study.Secondly, in order to verify the mechanical properties of angle steel-end plate reinforced beam-column connection, angle steel-end plate reinforced beam-column connection structure was determined by theoretical calculations in the first. Then the distinction of mechanical properties between it and traditional connection were analyzed. Contrastive analysis was conducted focusing on the load-displacement curves of connections, stress contour plots of some components, and mainly seismic performance indicators and stress paths under monotonic load and cyclic load The results showed that the the angle steel-end plate reinforced beam-column connection had high end-plate stiffness relativing to tradition beam-column end-plate connection under monotonic load and cyclic load, which could alleviate the stress concentration at weld joint of beam flange and increase the strength of the beam web in height direction, enhance the stiffness, bearing capacity, energy-dissipating capacity and ductility properties, has better mechanical properties.Thirdly, on the basis of angle steel-end plate reinforced beam-column connection BASE specimen, by changing three parameters as thickness of end-plate, thickness of angle steel and arrangement of bolts of angle steel, three series model were set up. The effects of three parameters on bearing capacity and plastic deformation capacity of angle steel-end plate reinforced beam-column connection were studied through contrastive analysis. By contrast, the followings were found: ①Increasing the thickness of the end-plate was good for reducing the stress of the end-plate in the width direction and easing the stress concentration of the beam flange with end plate welding part. The thickness of end-plate had little effect on the ultimate bearing capacity of the connection, and it had great influence on the ductility, energy dissipation capacity and stiffness. ②The thickness of angle steel had little effect on the ultimate bearing capacity and energy dissipation capacity of the connection, and had great impact on the ductility properties and stiffness of the connection. Reasonably increasing the thickness of angle steel could improve the ductility and stiffness of the connection. ③The angle steel connected to the end plate with 3, 4 and 5-bolt arrangement had little effect on the ultimate bearing capacity of the connection, but it had great impact on the ductility, energy dissipation capacity and stiffness of the connection, of which ductility, energy dissipation capacity and rotational behavior of 4-bolt arrangement was the best connection.Lastly, combining with the domestic and foreign design method of the end plate connection and relevant specification procedures in our country, according to the finite element analysis simulation results, the property feature of angle steel-end plate reinforced beam-column connection were summarized, the methods of construction design, bearing capacity design and ductility design of the angle steel-end plate reinforced beam-column connection were set up.
