The cable-girder anchorage zone is a critical part of the extradosed cable-stayed bridge as its fundamental function is to transfer the huge cable force to the girder safely and uniformly. With its heavy load, small space, complicated structure, multiple force transfer paths, non-uniform stress distribution and complicated failure mechanism, the simple mechanical analysis is difficult to reflect the practical working state and stress distribution of the cable-girder anchorage zone.Taking Chongqing Jiayue Bridge as a case, this thesis finds out the complex stress state and study the mechanical property by comparing the scaled model test of the cable-girder anchorage zone with the finite element analysis. And several improvement opinions and suggestions for the existing problems are presented in this thesis. Firstly, a whole bridge calculation was proceeded by Midas/Civil software to verify the safety and property of the bridge structure and to provide the load boundary condition for local analysis. Secondly, a spatial finite element analysis was proceeded by ANSYS software to provide the basis for model test. And then, a scaled model test was taken to compare with the theoretical calculations to estimate the practical mechanical property of the structure. Finally, based on result of the theoretical calculation and the scaled model test results, instructive suggestions and requirements were given for the construction control of the engineering entity.
