The wave is long-term threat to bridges piers in water, especially in extreme circumstances, the impact force of wave may directly result in the collapse of bridge. At the same time, with the increase of the water depth, the natural frequencies of the pier reduce and close to the wave frequency, the piers are easy to be resonant response. At last, it will lead to the serious damage of the structure, result in huge economic losses and casualties. Based on the wave theory, this article considers the dynamic response of bridge piers with the wave by the numerical simulation method and is of great guiding significance for the design and detection of bridge piers.This thesis mainly work as follows:1. This article have discussed the purpose and significance of research on wave to the bridge pier, introduced the calculating the status and progress of the wave forces acting on the pier, summarized the wave theory and numerical simulation method.2. By using MATLAB software, realize the simulation of the change of wave displacement with time, complete the calculation of wave force on the pier, and analyze its influencing factors. The two-dimensional analysis of wave is studied by using ADINA software, and find that the height of wave is approximately equal to wave speed.3. The piers and the bridge models were established and analyzed by ANSYS, the inherent frequency and modal vibration mode of them would be got. After deduction, we could calculate the dynamic response of the model under wave loading, and the result was respectively analyzed in time domain and frequency domain.4. Analyzed the flow on circular pier, introduced the flow around piers and vortex-induced resonance; Based on the ADINA, completed the simulation of flow around piers in the 2 D and 3 D, studied the impact that flow velocity, water depth and other factors on the dynamic response of the flow around the pier, and analyzed of the pile group effect through the simulation.5. Through establishing the model of the pier model, completed dynamic response analysis of structure under the action of wave and the joint action of waves with currents, and summed up the characteristics of dynamic response.
