For heavy haul train,wireless ECP braking system brake command is transferred by electronical instructions, can effectively improve the performance of the train brake,and is superior to conventional air brake system.Wireless ECP braking system have no train power bus through the train,each vehicle needs to have owned power, how to solve the problem of wireless ECP brake system has been a hot research. A power device based on railway vehicle vibration characteristics was designed in this paper. the mechanical energy generated by the vibration of vehicle was converted to electrical energy, and a technical measure for wireless ECP brake system was provided.Firstly, the wireless ECP braking system of the railway vehicle was introduced,the vibration frequency and amplitude of the vehicle was selected as the main design parameter, combined with the Halbach array permanent magnet linear motor principle of work, important parameters of motor were determined by analysis, and the preliminary structure design of Halbach array permanent magnet linear motor was completed.The finite element model of permanent magnet linear motor was established by Ansoft electromagnetic simulation software, and static analysis and transient analysis was completed. The no-load characteristics and the distribution of magnetic field inside the motor were received. The size and form of the axial magnetized magnets and radial magnetization magnets in the permanent were studied,and the influence factors of the motor air gap size, the stator slot and positioning shoulder force on the load characteristics of the motor were also analyzed. The motor model was established with different dimensions, the optimal size parameters of the motor were determined by comparing the simulation results of different motors.,and the optimum design of the motor was completed.The rectifying and filtering circuit was established through the Matlab/Simulink software, and the load property of the motor was analyzed. Then the basic theory of thermal analysis was introduced, the temperature field of the motor heat source was calculated combining with the thermodynamic theory. A thermal analysis model of the motor was established by the finite element analysis software Ansys, the temperature distribution inside the motor was obtained through the steady-state simulation,the motor could run normally in the steady state was verified,and the permanent magnets didn’t appear the phenomenon of demagnetization.The prototype was completed, hydraulic vibration was used for test of prototype,and test results were obtained under the conditions of different load. The simulation result and the experimental results were compared,and the differences between them were analysised, the correctness of the design and Simulation of the motor was verified by the test results. Finally, in order to meet the power needs of wireless ECP braking system, a kind of measure for increasing the output power of the motor by means of leverage was put forward, and the test was completed at the same time.
