In recent years,with the investment in public infrastructure of our country growing rapidly,the application of asphalt pavement is more and more popular,but the previous engineering experience suggests that early diseases of asphalt pavement bring huge losses to the country,and the water damage is one of the main early diseases and other diseases are more or less influenced by water damage,the asphalt mixture water damage is practical and very significant. Water stability of asphalt mixture is studied according to the aggregate factors in this paper.Firstly,three kinds of aggregate(basalt,tuff,granite) geological formation and physical properties are introduced,then introduced the aggregate and asphalt adhesion test methods for common, including water boiling method and photoelectric photometric method,water extraction method,and through water extraction method for different aggregate with rubber asphalt adhesion grade was evaluated.Then by using the immersion rutting test and freeze-thaw splitting test the water stability of six kinds of asphalt mixture combined rubber asphalt with three kinds of aggregates(basalt,tuff,granite) according to the two grade(AC-13 and SMA-13) was evaluated in this paper. The results show that: the aggregate alkali is one of main factors influencing the water stability of asphalt mixture,water stability of mixture of acid aggregate and asphalt is poor,this is consistent with the aggregate and asphalt adhesion test results previous. This paper introduces the rutting factor,and the immersion rutting test results using two kinds of evaluation index were analyzed. It is found that: the routine index of dynamic stability without considering the limitation of the accumulative deformation,in contrast with the rutting factor analysis is more reasonable. Two kinds of test methods for evaluating the comparative analysis: the rutting test discrimination is more reasonable,but the parallel experimental results fluctuations; freeze-thaw splitting test is simple,but the results did not open the gap,is not conducive to analysis,bad conditions should increase the test conditions such as increased number of freeze-thaw cycles.Finally,combined with the research results and practical experience,from the aspects of design,production,construction,maintenance and other matters needing attention,analyzed the prevention and control of water damage of asphalt mixture.Research data and results of this paper can not only provide some guidance for the actual production of rubber asphalt mixture design and the prevention of water damage, but also provide a reference for the further research on water stability of asphalt mixture.
