With the rapid development of social economy, urban motor vehicle ownership has increased dramatically. Especially in big cities, because of the traffic volume continuous growing in the urban road network, the underutilization of the road and node capacity results in the exacerbation on the urban road traffic jam. Facing with the increasingly prominent contradiction between supply and demand of the city traffic, digging up the potential of the existing road network for improving traffic supply is an important means of traffic management. In recent years, using intelligent traffic technology plays a great role in improving the traffic network capacity.In the traffic network of the urban road, crossing as major hubs of the urban road traffic is the major traffic jams and accidents happening node. Utilizing the time and space resources of every single-point crossing reasonably becomes the basis of relieving the traffic congestion problem on the whole city. While in the signal management method of existing single-point intersection, most of them are single-point fixed time and actuated signal control. Phase traffic streamline can’t dynamically combine and timing optimization method can’t optimize with the state change of the traffic streamline under the condition of the intersection traffic streamline flow which reaches to obvious fluctuate. With the growing development and application of the car-internet、car-road synergy and acquisition technology at the intersection, the vehicle arriving parameters in the every entrance lane at the intersection can be dynamically obtained. On the basis of this, this paper puts forward the optimizing control method of the streamline dynamic combination and analysis the compatibility relation of every streamline at the crossing. Regarding intersection as research object, a new compatible streamline search method, that is vectoring the traffic streamline and vector computation, is used for confirming the streamline compatibility relation more simple and more intuitive. Then the feasible phase collection is confirmed through applying logical algorithm of streamline and the optimum control phase streamline combination in the cycle is gained by making the phase green loss to minimum as the principle. At last, the optimal timing model adapting to the dynamic change of the intersection traffic flow and direction is set up to calculate the optimal timing of every phase and the dynamic optimal control result of the streamline at the intersection is realized.Through the example calculation analysis, we can know that the control way of the streamline dynamic combination optimal control has some advantages of little delay and flexible control scheme than fixed phase as the arriving of the intersection streamline vehicle changes obviously with time. The streamline dynamic combination optimal control can coordinate better with traffic streamline and then improve the time and space resource utilization efficiency at the intersection.
